Learn About Our Story

Healing Touch is a Medical Children’s Aid Trust registered in India that offers financial aid to children from low socio-economic families who suffer from major, life-threatening illnesses. We work closely with partner hospitals, such as TATA Memorial, SRCC, Sr H.N. Reliance Hospital, Wadia and Amrita Institute.

The organization was founded in 2015 by Dr. Mahesh Balsekar, a leading Pediatrician with over 35 years of experience. Through his experience working within the medical community, he saw a dire gap between the needs of families struggling to fund their child’s treatment and identifying the source of help – when help was readily available. The mission of Healing Touch is to close this gap between saving a child’s precious life and seeking the right support from organizations and individuals that truly want to assist.

Today Healing Touch is a self-funded trust with 7 core members from the medical, legal, business and public sector who have come together for one common cause – to ensure that every child has the right to live a healthy, happy life. The group is further supported by an experienced pediatric consultant from Sr H.N. Reliance Hospital, who works with a dedicated team that has a special focus on cancer treatment and care for underprivileged children.
