Childhood Protection
Healing Touch works closely with Asha Sadan to support children in need of protection.
MSWC Asha Sadan, founded on 7th July 1921, is the flagship project of the Maharashtra State Women’s Council (MSWC) — a century-old charitable organization devoted to women’s empowerment and child development. Recognized by the Government, Asha Sadan stands as a beacon of care and compassion for children in need of protection and women in distress. The institution provides a safe and nurturing home for children aged 1–6 years and 12–18 years (girls), and shelter for women seeking refuge and renewal. With a sanctioned capacity of 125 children, 30 women, and 50 children under its Specialized Adoption Agency (SAA), Asha Sadan continues to transform lives through love, guidance, and opportunity.
Beyond meeting basic needs of food, clothing, and shelter, Asha Sadan focuses on holistic growth—nurturing health, education, emotional well-being, and self-confidence. Children receive in-house education from pre-primary to Class X, and are supported in pursuing higher studies based on their interests and potential. Every effort is made to educate, empower, rehabilitate, and reintegrate them into society as confident, capable individuals. For over a hundred years, Asha Sadan has been a home of hope, healing, and new beginnings—where every child and woman is given a chance to dream again.
