- In government hospitals (like Tata & Wadia), the cost is around Rs 3- 4 lakhs.
- Due to financial reasons, in India we are able to cater to only 20% of the children that need help.
- Many families simply cannot afford the treatment and take the child home once they know the diagnosis and the costs involved. Others exhaust meagre family savings or take loans with devastating consequences on the whole family.

- Childhood leukaemia has a 80-90% cure rate.
- Without treatment the disease is fatal within a few months.
